Quick Care Clinics open at Jewel-Osco pharmacies

November 12th, 2012

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Edward Hospital today opened two Quick Care Clinics at Jewel-Osco supermarket pharmacies outside metropolitan Chicago.

The health care provider said the clinics, located in Supervalu Inc. Jewel-Osco stores in Naperville and Romeoville, Ill., offer routine treatment and preventive care on a walk-in basis seven days a week.

"We are always seeking new opportunities to expand our services," Chris Dimos, president of pharmacy and nonfood merchandising at Supervalu, said in a statement. "Through this partnership, we will be able to offer our patients even more tools to help them manage their health and wellness needs."

Quick Care Clinic services are provided by board-certified nurse practitioners and physician assistants of Edward Medical Group (EMG), the primary care practice of Edward Hospital. EMG has 45 family practice and internal medicine physicians who treat patients of all ages.

The Quick Care Clinics treat common illnesses and minor injuries as well as provide a range of physical exams, vaccinations, and health screenings and tests.

"We're proud to partner with Jewel-Osco and provide high-quality health care that's convenient and fits the busy lifestyles and schedules that many of us have," stated Bill Kottmann, president of Edward Health Ventures.
