Twisted Sista hair care line rolls out to CVS

NEW YORK – Twisted Sista's salon-inspired hair care and hair styling products are now available at select CVS/pharmacy stores across the country.

The Twisted Sista line includes items designed to cleanse, condition, create and finish hair.

The company said Monday that the debut of the multicultural women's hair care line at CVS builds on its current retail distribution at Duane Reade, Walgreens and Target stores.

Developed by Stephen Durham in 2004 at his Urban Therapy Hair Salon in London's Notting Hill, the Twisted Sista range was inspired by the city's modern, multicultural women with little time to spare on complicated hair care at home, according to the company. The line took off in the United Kingdom, and in September 2008 Durham relocated to California to launch the Twisted Sista line in the United States.

The line encompasses hair products that cleanse, condition, create and finish: De-Frizz Shampoo and Conditioner, Different Strokes Serum, Blow Dry Creme, Curl Activator and 30 Second Curl Spray. The products also contain "good for you" ingredients, such as vitamin E to protect against UV damage, Panthenol to strengthen and protect against breakage, and naturally derived emollients to boost definition and shine.

Twisted Sista said its products can be used on all hair types and textures to "create everything from effortless, everyday styles to sophisticated and sleek hairdos."
