Rite Aid promotes skin cancer awareness

CAMP HILL, Pa. – Rite Aid has partnered with The Skin Cancer Foundation to promote smart skin care practices and raise skin cancer awareness.
The drug chain’s program, which began May 30 at nearly 4,800 Rite Aid stores across the country, includes a free 12-page skin care guide, free full-body skin cancer screenings performed by local dermatologists and sun care advice from Rite Aid pharmacists.
As part of the promotion, Rite Aid is hosting The Skin Cancer Foundation’s Road to Healthy Skin Tour for the third consecutive year. The retailer is being joined in that effort by Johnson & Johnson and its Aveeno brand of skin care and sun care products.
The tour offers free full-body skin cancer screenings in two private rooms of a 38-foot recreational vehicle that is travelling across the country until September.
In an effort to encourage consumers to use skin care items that can help reduce their chances of getting skin cancer, Rite Aid is offering shoppers several related promotions.
Visitors who spend $20 on select skin care products on the day of a tour stop can redeem their receipts for a gift bag containing a dozen skin care product samples.
In addition, the drug store chain is offering shoppers a single check rebate gift of a $10 store gift card with a $25 purchase of select skin care products or a $25 store gift card with a $50 purchase of select skin care products. And as an extra incentive, customers who use their wellness+ loyalty card with their qualifying skin care purchases will receive an additional $5 gift card.
