Rosato new president of NACDS Foundation
July 20th, 2009
ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Edith Rosato has been elected president of the National Association of Chain Drug Stores Foundation.
Rosato will oversee and execute staff responsibilities for NACDS Foundation initiatives, including pharmacy student scholarships and research related to pharmacy and patient care in the public interest.
She also currently serves as NACDS’ senior vice president of pharmacy affairs.
Rosato succeeds Philip Schneider, who retired from NACDS earlier this year.
“I know of nobody who cares more about the role of pharmacy in patient care than Edith,” says NACDS president and chief executive officer Steven Anderson, who also serves as chairman of the board of the NACDS Foundation.
“Her expertise, experience and relationships in pharmacy and among its suppliers will equip her well to lead the staff operations of the NACDS Foundation. Her recent graduation from the Institute for Organization Management is the latest example of her commitment to excelling in all that she does,” Anderson adds.
Rosato has over 25 years of leadership and experience in the pharmacy profession and the pharmaceutical industry.
Prior to joining NACDS in 2000, she held senior positions at what was then Wyeth-Ayerst Pharmaceuticals, responsible for the development of corporate sales and product distribution. Rosato also served as a corporate pharmaceutical buyer for CVS Corp., now CVS Caremark Corp.
