Health Enterprises products earn American Podiatric seal

June 8th, 2009

NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Health Enterprises Inc. has received the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) Seal of Acceptance for two of its therapeutic products.

The over-the-counter consumer health care manufacturer said the seal was awarded to its Therapeutic Foot Massager and Tru-Ice Reusable Ice Therapy products.

The Therapeutic Foot Massager is designed to help relieve pain, reduce stress and relax tired feet. It offers three user-friendly massage options: massage with heat, massage with cold or basic massage.

Health Enterprises said Tru-Ice helps reduce swelling and alleviate pain by providing cold therapy in a third of the time that it typically takes a standard ice bag. The product features an ergonomic, reusable design and patented liner system that aims to provide the benefit of ice but without the mess from melting.

To qualify for the APMA seal program, products must pass a scientific evaluation by a panel of association members as well as a battery of tests at a recognized laboratory, according to Health Enterprises. The results then are assessed by a committee of doctors of podiatric medicine, who determine whether to grant the use of the seal.

The APMA seal was created to inform podiatrists and consumers about safe, effective and high-quality products that promote good foot health, the company said.
