January 31st, 2012
CAMP HILL, Pa. – Rite Aid Corp. has partnered with American Greetings Corp. and Hershey Co. for "Sweet Escape," a Valentine's Day promotion on its Facebook and Twitter sites.
Rite Aid said Monday that for the two-week social media promotion, visitors could go to its Facebook page to send an electronic greeting card and take a Valentine's Day quiz, both of which can be shared with Facebook friends, plus access printable coupons for Hershey's Pot of Gold boxed chocolates.
Visitors to Rite Aid's Facebook and Twitter pages also could enter the Sweet Escape spa getaway sweepstakes. The grand prize, slated to be announced Feb. 14, includes a trip to The Spa at The Hotel Hershey, a couple's massage, a "sweet feet" couple’s pedicure, a lunch date for two and chocolate-covered strawberries to enjoy in the room.
Other prizes include six American Greetings packages of greeting cards and stationery to use throughout the year.
Members of Rite Aid’s wellness+ rewards program also were sent e-mails about the contest.
“Sweet Escape offers Rite Aid’s steadily growing Facebook, Twitter and e-mail audiences fun ways to connect and celebrate this special, romantic holiday,” commented Craig Riner, vice president of marketing at Rite Aid. "We're thrilled to team up with Hershey's and American Greetings to give our customers, fans and followers one more way to ‘share the love.' "
