Ritzman in talks with Mast Pharmacy

WADSWORTH, Ohio – Ritzman Pharmacies Inc. and Mast Pharmacy of Ohio have signed a letter of intent to explore a business partnership in which Ritzman would own and operate all Mast Pharmacies.
Mast Pharmacy has five locations in northeastern Ohio.
Ritzman said Wednesday that the companies are currently in negotiations about a potential partnership.
Mast Pharmacy operates five full-service pharmacies in Sugarcreek, Berlin, Millersburg, Shreve and Wooster, Ohio. The first Mast Pharmacy opened in 1981.
"Mast and Ritzman are both locally owned businesses that share the same values, which makes this collaboration a natural fit," Eric Graf, co-owner and chief executive officer of Ritzman, said in a statement.

Known for its personalized service, Mast Pharmacy offers traditional prescription-filling services, a large selection of over-the-counter medications, mobile pharmacy services on Android and Apple devices, and digital photo printing. The chain's Berlin location also has a soda fountain.

Ritzman operates 20 full-service pharmacies in northeastern and central Ohio, including 11 pharmacies located in Buehler's Fresh Foods Market supermarkets. Ritzman acquired the Buehler's in-store pharmacies in the fall of 2011.
In addition, Ritzman operates a specialty packaging pharmacy, Ritzman Med-Dose Services, and a home infusion pharmacy. The drug chain also offers Ritzman-brand supplements, a complete line of high-quality supplements, along with traditional OTC products and natural health products.
