Rite Aid calls out vote for favorite pharmacy staff

October 2nd, 2013

CAMP HILL, Pa. – Rite Aid Corp. is bringing back its "Vote for Your Favorite Pharmacy Team Member" contest in recognition of American Pharmacists Month in October.

The drug chain said Tuesday that the contest gives Rite Aid customers a chance to win $2,500 in Rite Aid gift cards by nominating their favorite Rite Aid pharmacy team member.

Rite Aid noted that the contest, now in its 10th year, aims to recognize Rite Aid pharmacy staff of all stripes — including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy cashiers and wellness ambassadors — for providing top-notch customer service.

Through Oct. 31, customers can vote for their favorite pharmacy team member via a mail-in nomination form available at any Rite Aid pharmacy or online at riteaid.com/vote. Customers who vote will automatically be entered into a random drawing to win $2,500 in Rite Aid gift cards. One nominated pharmacy team member also will win $2,500 in Rite Aid gift cards through a random drawing.

All pharmacy team members voted as "favorites" will be recognized by Rite Aid with a Favorite Pharmacy Team Member lapel pin and a letter of commendation from Rite Aid chairman and chief executive officer John Standley.

"Every day our pharmacy teams are on the front lines, helping our customers live and stay well," Dan Miller, senior vice president of pharmacy operations at Rite Aid, said in a statement. "From the wellness ambassador who helps a customer learn about the Rite Aid programs available to help them manage their medications to the pharmacist counseling a patient on over-the-counter medications or immunizations, our pharmacy associates are making a difference in the health and well-being of those they serve in their communities. We are so proud of our pharmacy teams, and this contest is a great way for us to thank them for the top-notch service they provide to our customers."
