NEW BERLIN, N.Y. – Chobani LLC plans to roll out six new products this summer in what the Greek yogurt brand called the most significant portfolio expansion in its history.
Chobani's new offerings are slated to become available in stores starting in June.
The company said Friday that the new offerings, set to hit stores beginning in June, include Chobani Greek Yogurt Oats, Chobani Indulgent, Chobani Kids, Chobani Seasonal, Chobani Simply 100 Greek Yogurt in Key Lime and Pineapple, and Chobani Kitchen.
Aimed at bridging the breakfast gap between yogurt and oats, Chobani Greek Yogurt Oats provides protein-, grain- and fiber-packed nourishment and features creamy, authentically strained Greek yogurt mixed with real ripe fruit and whole grain steel-cut oats. Flavors include banana maple, apple cinnamon, blueberry and cranberry.
Chobani Indulgent marks the brand's first dessert product, mixing creamy, full-fat Greek yogurt with "luscious all-natural ingredients in beautiful clear packaging for a decadent treat, the company said. Real cream, dark chocolate and ripe fruits are blended in such flavors as dulce de leche, raspberry dark chocolate chunk and banana dark chocolate chunk.
Meanwhile, Chobani Kids Greek yogurt provides a tasty snack that's packed with the nutritional high-protein, low-sugar punch that parents seek, according to Chobani. Made with natural ingredients, no artificial growth hormones and real fruit, Chobani Kids comes in fun, finger-friendly packaging and grape, watermelon, vanilla chocolate dust and other flavors.
Chobani Seasonal adds a twist to the core Greek yogurt line with new, seasonally inspired flavors that tap into trends and emerging tastes, Chobani said. The limited flavors will refresh each season, kicking off this summer with watermelon and pink grapefruit, followed by new flavors for the fall.
Building on Chobani's recently launched natural, 100-calorie yogurt, new blended flavors of Chobani Simply 100 Greek Yogurt in Key Lime and Pineapple Coconut deliver great-tasting, low-calorie options for weight managers seeking light yogurt made with only natural ingredients — the first and only 100 calorie Greek Yogurt using only natural ingredients, according to Chobani.
And the introduction of 4% whole milk Chobani Kitchen is designed to answer consumers' call, full-fat dairy products — delicious nutrition now available in a multi-serve format for recipes or a single-serve occasion — for baking or on top of a baked potato, chile and fajitas, Chobani said.
"The yogurt story in America is just beginning, and as the category leader we are creating new ways to enjoy Chobani's delicious, nutritious, natural products throughout the day," stated Peter McGuinness, chief marketing and brand officer for Chobani. "Our new flavors and formats bring new experiences with Greek Yogurt and deliver on our founding premise of people have taste, they just need more good options."
