CHICAGO — The Interceptas platform by Accertify Inc. has been adopted by Walgreen Co. for thwarting online credit-card fraud in the drug store chain’s e-commerce business.
Accertify said Wednesday that Walgreens chose Interceptas for its Internet business over other fraud solutions because it’s the most comprehensive, flexible and easy-to-use solution on the market.
Designed from a merchant’s perspective, Interceptas enables online retailers to significantly reduce fraud losses, order reviews and fraud-related operational costs, as well as cut back on fulfillment delays and customer inquiries because of order reviews, according to Accertify.
The technology solution provider noted that Interceptas provides control over fraud prevention tools and processes in a real-time, dynamic format, helping ensure that customers continue to receive top-notch service.
"Our selection by Walgreens is further confirmation of our leadership in the online retail fraud prevention market," stated Jeff Liesendahl, Accertify’s chief executive officer. "We share their commitment to exceptional customer service and look forward to working with the Walgreens team."
Accertify added that Interceptas helps prevent various types of criminal behavior, including fraud related to card-not-present purchases, online scams and policy abuse, merchandise returns and exchanges, and other data management challenges.
