CINCINNATI — Procter & Gamble Co. this month is rolling out new packaging for its Align probiotic that includes the product’s new money-back guarantee.
The consumer products giant also said that next month its P&G BrandSavers coupon book will feature a high-value coupon for money off an Align purchase. P&G also offered such a coupon in December, when it announced the money-back guarantee.
Under the guarantee, consumers not satisfied with their purchase of Align can get 100% of their money back within 60 days of the original purchase date, according to P&G. For the refund, they would need to submit the UPC from the Align product, the original cash-register receipt with the purchase price circled and a note card or slip of paper that has their name and mailing address. Details of the guarantee are at www.AlignGI.com/refund.
Introduced last spring, the Align probiotic supplement is designed to help restore the natural balance in the digestive system and manage occasional digestive upsets. It contains Bifantis (Bifidobacterium infantis 35624), a natural, patented probiotic strain, or "healthy bacteria," which helps to alleviate the effects of digestive imbalance.
"By offering a money-back guarantee, we’re telling consumers there’s no financial risk in trying Align, only the chance that they might finally find a digestive health solution that works," Align brand manager Tom Kuhn stated when P&G unveiled the guarantee last month.
