AllianceRx Walgreens Prime gets URAC accreditation

ORLANDO, Fla. —  AllianceRx Walgreens Prime, a combined specialty and home delivery pharmacy, has received Mail Service Pharmacy Accreditation from URAC for its home delivery pharmacy services. URAC is a health care accrediting organization based in Washington, D.C. that establishes quality standards for the health care industry.

AllianceRx Walgreens Prime earned fully accredited status in the URAC Mail Service Pharmacy area, which covers core organizational quality, customer service, communications and disclosure, drug utilization management, pharmacy operations, and a process for mail service outcomes measurement and quality improvement.

“AllianceRx Walgreens Prime aims to service all our patients with the utmost quality and care,” said Joel Wright, chief executive officer. “Receiving accreditation from URAC is validation of our steadfast commitment to helping patients achieve and maintain their best health by delivering to them the medicines they need. We pledge to uphold these high standards of quality for our organization and for our patients.”

URAC president and CEO Kylanne Green said that AllianceRx Walgreens Prime showcases an ability to offer cost-effective care without compromising quality.

“As mail service pharmacy options grow, it is important to have a means of verifying that an organization can address the dynamic of cost and quality. AllianceRx Walgreens Prime chose to demonstrate its commitment to industry best practices and regulatory compliance by undergoing a rigorous URAC review and receiving an accreditation of its services,” she said.

The accreditation is effective from July 1, 2018 to July 1, 2021.
