SEATTLE — Amazon Health Services has announced a significant expansion of its health care offerings in the greater Chicago area, aiming to improve access and affordability for residents. The company also announced specialized perimenopause and menopause visits and pay-per-visit healthcare for children ages 2-11 across its eight One Medical primary care Chicago offices.
Amazon Pharmacy is also rolling out its Same-Day Delivery service to nearly 200 towns in the Chicago metropolitan area. This initiative targets the growing issue of “pharmacy deserts” and aims to improve medication adherence by offering fast, convenient home delivery.
“We’re excited to bring our Same-Day Delivery to the Chicago area,” said Kelvin Downes, director of operations for Amazon Pharmacy. "As part of our work to make healthcare more accessible and convenient, expanding Same-Day Delivery into Chicago allows us to serve more customers with the speed and reliability they need to get and stay well.”

Amazon Pharmacy will continue to help Chicagoans save on prescriptions with its price transparency feature that allows customers to compare cash or insurance pay and RxPass, a subscription providing access to over 50 commonly prescribed medications for just $5 per month, regardless of how many prescriptions they need. It also automatically applies manufacturer coupons at checkout, which has already saved customers over $100 million on prescriptions like GLP-1s and insulin.
Additionally, residents can access high-quality healthcare, same- and next-day remote or in-person appointments, and a membership that includes 24/7 virtual care services through Amazon One Medical’s eight Chicago-area offices.
One Medical recently launched specialized Perimenopause and Menopause visits that bring dedicated, holistic menopause care into the primary care setting with specially trained providers in Chicago.
For Chicagoans looking for virtual care without a membership, Amazon One Medical Pay-per-visit is a telehealth service that treats 40 common health concerns starting at $29 for message visits and $49 for video visits, no insurance required. The service is a lower-cost alternative to urgent care and recently began treating children ages 2-11 for non-emergency conditions such as pink eye and head lice.
Building on its commitment to women’s health, Amazon Pharmacy took part in the American Cancer Society Making Strides of Chicago breast cancer awareness walk as a Community Impact Partner on Saturday, October 18. In partnership with One Medical, Chicago clinicians were on-site at the walk to provide free snacks, swag, health assessments, and answers to health questions for thousands of attendees.
