SEATTLE — Amazon Pharmacy has launched a fully Spanish-language pharmacy experience, providing customers with access to prescription information, medication management and pharmacist support in Spanish.
The service includes Spanish-language medication and prescription details, refill reminders, order updates, and delivery notifications. Licensed pharmacists are also available by phone in Spanish 24/7, and Amazon Pharmacy’s AI-powered chat support is available in Spanish.
“Everything we build at Amazon Pharmacy starts with making it easier for customers to access affordable medications and manage their health with confidence,” said Bethanie Baynes, director of customer experience and partnerships at Amazon Pharmacy. “With the full experience now available in Spanish, millions more customers can see their costs upfront, understand their prescriptions, reach a pharmacist for support any time of day, and have their medications delivered to their door, all in the language they’re most comfortable in.”
Amazon said the expansion could help address language and access barriers for nearly 45 million people in the United States who primarily speak Spanish at home.
The Spanish-language experience also extends to Amazon Pharmacy’s caregiver feature, which lets a trusted family member coordinate prescriptions, arrange refills, and manage health information from their own account.
Customers can view medication availability and out-of-pocket costs before checkout. Eligible manufacturer-sponsored coupons are applied automatically, and Prime members can access additional savings through PrimeRx and the $5-per-month RxPass subscription.
Amazon Pharmacy offers free nationwide prescription delivery and same-day delivery in more than 3,100 U.S. cities and towns. The company plans to expand same-day prescription delivery to nearly 4,500 U.S. cities and towns by the end of 2026.
Customers who have Spanish as their language preference on Amazon.com will automatically see Amazon Pharmacy in Spanish. No Prime membership or additional setup is required.
