AmLactin Cerapeutic Restoring Body Lotion debuts in stores

AmLactin Alpha-Hydroxy Skin Care has introduced AmLactin Cerapeutic Restoring Body Lotion, which it said is formulated with the "power couple" of alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) and essential ceramides.

MAPLE GROVE, Minn. — AmLactin Alpha-Hydroxy Skin Care has introduced AmLactin Cerapeutic Restoring Body Lotion, which it said is formulated with the "power couple" of alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) and essential ceramides.

The Upsher-Smith skin care brand said Thursday that AmLactin Cerapeutic Restoring Body Lotion is making its retail debut at select Walmart and Walgreens stores.

The product contains the intensely hydrating, patented UltraPlex formula to gently exfoliate, as well as three skin identical ceramides that work together to strengthen skin’s protective moisture barrier for softer, more resilient skin.

"Ceramides are naturally found in the skin’s outer layer and help to retain moisture," stated New York cosmetic dermatologist Dr. Doris Day. "The skin loses ceramides for a variety of reasons, such as too much time in water or exposure to harsh soaps. When ceramide levels are low, skin becomes vulnerable to environmental conditions and other irritants. With its unique combination of alpha-hydroxy acids and three essential ceramides, AmLactin Cerapeutic provides fast-acting, long-lasting relief from dryness while healing and replenishing skin."

Overall, the AmLactin Alpha-Hydroxy Skin Care line includes AmLactin Moisturizing Body Lotion, AmLactin Cerapeutic Restoring Body Lotion, AmLactin Ultra Hydrating Body Cream (formerly AmLactin XL) and AmLactin Foot Cream.
