WASHINGTON — The American Pharmacists Association Foundation has begun a search for its next executive director.
The search comes following the APhA Foundation’s announcement in late September that executive director and chief executive officer William Ellis was leaving to join the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS). Ellis served as the foundation’s executive director and CEO since 1997.
Since then, Elizabeth Keyes, chief business officer and senior vice president of business strategy and operations at the American Pharmacists Association, has served as interim executive director for the foundation.
Plans call for the foundation’s application process for the executive director post to close in March, and the APhA board expects to make a decision on a candidate by July. The search is being conducted by The Bernard Consulting Group Inc.
