MILWAUKEE – Aurora Health Care, part of Advocate Aurora Health, and Aetna, a CVS Health business, Monday announced that Aurora Pharmacy has joined Aetna’s Medicare network of preferred pharmacies. Effective immediately, Aetna Medicare members with drug coverage can fill their prescriptions for preferred pharmacy copays at any Aurora Pharmacy in Wisconsin.

“Becoming an Aetna Preferred Pharmacy is one more way Aurora Health Care is expanding access to care while providing our Medicare customers with convenient, affordable options,” said Tom Woller, system vice president, pharmacy services at Advocate Aurora Health, the system created when Aurora Health Care merged with Advocate Health Care in 2018.

“Our goal is to make it easy and convenient for our members to get the medications they need to help keep them healthier,” said Terri Swanson, vice president for Aetna Medicare Part D. “Aetna shares Aurora’s focus on providing exceptional service to our Medicare members in communities throughout Wisconsin.”

Nationally, Aetna offers three Medicare prescription drug plans and many Medicare Supplement and Medicare Advantage plans.
