NCPA signs up PIPCo membership

The members of the Partners in Pharmacy Cooperative (PIPCo) have joined the National Community Pharmacists Association. NCPA said Monday that PIPCo, a cooperative of independent pharmacies in the north-central United States, has signed up all of its members for membership in the association.

Coty Inc. has partnered with supermodel Heidi Klum to develop and market a new celebrity signature fragrance. Called Heidi Klum Shine, the new fragrance is expected to launch in the fall, Coty said Friday.

Perrigo to buy Paddock Laboratories

Perrigo Co. plans to acquire generic drug maker and marketer Paddock Laboratories Inc. for $540 million in cash. Perrigo said Thursday that the deal to buy the privately held, Minneapolis-based company will broaden its roster of generic pharmaceuticals and add a strong new-product pipeline.

Dr. Reddy’s ships generic of Protonix

Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories has rolled out pantoprazole sodium delayed-released tablets, an antacid medication. The company said Thursday that it’s launching the product, a bioequivalent generic version of Wyeth’s Protonix tablets in the U.S.
