ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. — In conjunction with the AXE Apollo Space Academy, which will send 22 fans from around the world to space, the AXE brand is launching a new retail-focused program that will allow seven people to attend Space Camp for a chance to experience space travel.

The Unilever men’s personal care brand said Tuesday that From now through July, consumers buying a full-size AXE product will receive a code to enter online at axeapollo.com to participate in the contest. Winners will be selected on or about Aug. 9.

The seven winners will be then eligible to attend the AXE Apollo Space Camp in Orlando, Fla., where one finalist will be randomly selected for space travel, according to the company.

AXE said the nationwide sweepstakes is available at major retailers and was launched with an event Tuesday at the Walgreens store in Manhattan’s Times Square.

Two new AXE Apollo billboards located above the store were unveiled, and passers-by will be able to interact with the AXE astronauts and hear about the AXE Apollo Promotion.

The AXE men’s grooming product line includes deodorant body sprays, deodorant and anti-perspirant sticks, shower gels and hair care products.
