GREENWICH, Conn. — B’iota Botanical Laboratories has made its foray into the U.S. market with the distribution of its herbal hair care products at leading retailers.

B’iota Botanicals products are aimed at women and men with thinning hair.

The Istanbul, Turkey-based company said Tuesday that its hair products are now available nationally at CVS, Amazon.com, drugstore.com, Walgreens.com, Harris Teeter, Raley’s, Save Mart and H-E-B, as well as through Cardinal Wholesale Distributors and others.

The core products for the U.S. launch are B’iota shampoos and an advanced, leave-in serum. The products feature a proprietary blend of ingredients called Bioxsine, which the company said works from the inside out by "feeding" the root of the hair and has been clinically shown to reduce hair fallout and thinning by promoting stronger, thicker, fuller hair.

B’iota noted that its products are targeted at women and men with weak, damaged and thinning hair. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, about 40% of women over age 40 experience this problem, the company said.

"Thinning hair and hair fall are a universal — and for many, very emotional — problem for millions of women and men," stated Cihat Dundar, founder and chief executive officer of B’iota Botanical Laboratories. "B’iota has been extremely successful in Europe, and our expansion into the U.S. market has been highly anticipated."

The company added that its shampoo retails for less than $10 a bottle; features a rich texture and deep, amber color; and smells and feels like an expensive, luxurious shampoo.
Consumers can use shampoo and serum separately or together for increased efficacy.

"Our philosophy is simple," Dundar added. "We are committed to marrying science with nature to create clinically tested, quality products that deliver on their promise."
