SEATTLE — Bartell Drugs is highlighting locally and regionally based companies and their products during its third annual “Loving Local” week from February 4 – February 10.

“With our 128-year history in the Northwest, Bartells is proud to support other home-grown businesses and products, something that makes us unique in relation to other chains. To celebrate, we are offering special partner products sampling and in-store events to showcase the more than 150 great local products to our Bartell customers,” the retailer said in a statement.

Some of the products will include: Skinny Dipped Almonds, Rain City Crunch, Sparkling ICE, Joe Chocolates, and Moon Valley Organics. In-store events will feature free face painting and Pacifica manicures (at select locations) along with food and beverage sampling.

In addition, on February 9th from 2pm to 5pm, all Bartell locations will be offering free cookies, refreshments, and gift basket giveaway for store guests.

As part of celebrating local and helping its community, the retailer has teamed with another local company, Seattle Gourmet Foods/Dilettante Chocolates, to help internationally recognized but locally based Seattle Children’s Hospital during the month of February. Buy any Dilettante Chocolates products during February, and Seattle Gourmet Foods and Bartells will donate $1 of the purchase to Seattle Children’s, up to $25,000.
