SEATTLE — This week, Bartell Drugs plans to open its 63rd store, located in Lynnwood, Wash.
The Seattle-area drug chain said Monday that the 15,000-square-foot store will open for business on May 22, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony to follow on May 28 and a big lineup of grand-opening festivities planned for May 30.
Situated at 2518 196th Street SW in Lynnwood, the new store is Bartell Drugs’ 15th location in Snohomish County. The store features a clock tower as well as the retailer’s latest format, including its enhanced “Beauty” cosmetics department, “Urban Market” offering regionally made products, “Sweets & Snacks” consumables section and Print Studio photo products area. The full-service pharmacy offers prescription and health services as well as a drive-through window.
Members of the Bartell family, employees, vendors and local leaders will be on hand to celebrate the store’s opening on May 28.
“The store is conveniently located in one of the region’s most vibrant retail areas, and we look forward to serving the health and wellness needs of local residents, employees in nearby retail centers, and shoppers visiting the area,” George Bartell, chairman of Bartell Drugs, said in a statement.
The grand opening event on May 30 will include free or discounted health screening services for blood pressure, cholesterol, bone density and diabetes/glucose in the pharmacy department. Customers also will be able to receive free product samples or special offers, including from KIND Bar, Nuun, Seattle Chocolates and Bodyceuticals, as well as get the chance to win a range of prizes.
