TAMPA, Fla. — Benzer Pharmacy has launched an online store for durable medical equipment (DME).
The DME website offers a wide range of home health care items.
The pharmacy chain said Monday that the website, BenzerMedicalEquipment.com, offers a broad selection of DME products, spanning such categories as aids to daily living, back and neck therapy, beds and accessories, casting supplies, convalescent care, diabetes care, edema products, electrotherapy, emergency and first aid products, and wheelchairs and accessories.
“Benzer Pharmacy home care products provide convenience to consumers and help them stay active and independent in their homes and communities,” Dhara Patel, IT coordinator at Benzer Pharmacy, said in a statement.
“The Benzer Pharmacy DME e-commerce webpage is easy to navigate without confusing the user and provides descriptive photos and information,” Patel added.
Other products sold via the DME online store include bath care, commodes, blood pressure products, wound care, foot care, incontinence products, hot and cold therapy, mobility products, respiratory care and orthopedic care, among others.
Overall, Benzer Pharmacy has more than 50 locations in Florida, Michigan, Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Georgia, Nevada and Louisiana.
Last week, Benzer opened a new store in Winter Haven, Fla., which was its seventh opening this year, in which the company plans to open 20 to 30 new pharmacies. The full-service pharmacy will also over-the-counter products, immunizations, health consultations and personalized health care.
“Benzer Pharmacy has acquired Reliance Pharmacy, and we are excited to have a new store joining our chain of independent retail and specialty pharmacies,” stated Benzer Pharmacy president Alpesh Patel.
Jigar Patel, the pharmacist in charge at the Winter Haven store, noted that its patients will be able to have face-to-face consultations with a licensed pharmacist who will address all prescription questions. “Benzer Pharmacy will keep the same community spirit and preserve the legacy of the previous owner,” Patel commented.
