BoomRx expands peptide therapy access with new pharmacy portal

TAMPA, Fla. — BoomRx is expanding access to peptide-based therapies via a centralized pharmacy platform designed to streamline sourcing and fulfillment for medical practices as demand grows and regulatory frameworks change.

The company stated that its portal allows clinicians to access a variety of peptide therapies for applications such as medical weight loss, hormone therapy, and performance-oriented treatment programs, all within a single system designed to simplify operations.

Peptides, which are short chains of amino acids serving as signaling molecules and building blocks of proteins, are increasingly popular in fields such as metabolic health, dermatology, and hormone regulation. Additional research is also exploring their applications in cardiovascular health, oncology, and infectious diseases. In 2025, the U.S. peptide therapeutics market was valued at around $21 billion and is expected to reach nearly $35 billion by 2035. Currently, injectable forms dominate the market, while oral therapies are rapidly emerging as a fast-growing sector.

“The peptide therapy landscape is evolving quickly as clinical demand and regulatory clarity continue to shape how these therapies are delivered,” said Kurt Lunkwitz, founder and president of BoomRx. “Medical practices don’t need additional operational friction. BoomRx’s platform consolidates access to products from both 503A compounding pharmacies and FDA-registered 503B outsourcing facilities, which operate under current Good Manufacturing Practice standards and are overseen by the FDA. The difference is becoming more significant as some peptide products continue to circulate online with “research-use only” labels and outside regulated pharmaceutical channels.

According to Lunkwitz, 19 peptides have recently been diverted from traditional compounding routes, shifting demand to less regulated online markets. The FDA is now considering whether some of those peptides could re-enter regulated supply chains, potentially increasing compliant access for providers.

By consolidating pharmacy relationships into a single portal, BoomRx aims to reduce vendor fragmentation and administrative workload, enabling clinics, telemedicine providers, and wellness operators to create scalable, standardized care programs. The company noted that the platform also supports state-by-state shipping logistics, price transparency, and flat-rate fulfillment to enhance operational efficiency.
