DOYLESTOWN, Pa. — Cold-EEZE, a homeopathic cold remedy, has been awarded the Parent Tested Parent Approved Winner’s Seal of Approval.

ProPhase Labs, the maker of Cold-EEZE, said the PTPA seal of approval was awarded based on quality, effectiveness and value. The over-the-counter product’s proprietary zinc gluconate formula is clinically proven to safely and effectively reduce the duration and the severity of common cold symptoms by nearly half (42%), according to the company.

"This seal of approval reflects the high standards that we set for Cold-EEZE, and we are honored to receive this award," commented Ted Karkus, chairman and chief executive officer of ProPhase Labs. "This recognition highlights the benefits and value that Cold-EEZE offers to families during the cough and cold season."

Cold-EEZE was among many entries from across North America competing to earn the PTPA Seal, ProPhase said. Independent parent volunteers evaluate the products in their own homes.

"When consumers search for our seal of approval on product packaging and websites, they are essentially searching for validation from their peers," stated Sharon Vinderine, CEO and founder of PTPA. "Their peers will have objectively tested and approved these products based on their performance in a real life environment. That type of resource for families is priceless."
