LONG BEACH, Calif. — CVS/pharmacy is now carrying Colic Calm homeopathic infant gripe water from TJL Enterprises Inc. in stores nationwide.
TJL Enterprises said Monday that the announcement — which places the natural medicine for infant gas, colic and reflux in more than 7,000 CVS stores — marks the company’s first mass-market chain distribution of the product. Previously, Colic Calm was available through the company’s web site, at select food stores and at miscellaneous retail locations.
Each bottle of the Colic Calm liquid remedy for colic pain contains at least 24 doses and retails for under $20 at CVS, according to TJL Enterprises. The product is free of alcohol, sugar, sodium bicarbonate, simethicone, herbal oils and extracts, soy, wheat, gluten, dairy, animal products, and artificial flavors and colors.
According to the company, digestive pains are very common in babies — while 25% may be diagnosed with "colic," another 75% suffer related symptoms of gas and reflux.
