Cost Plus Marketplace adds AFT’s Combogesic

AUCKLAND, New Zealand — AFT Pharmaceuticals has launched Combogesic, its prescription non-opioid pain medication, in the United States through a partnership with the Mark Cuban Cost Plus Marketplace.

Combogesic is an FDA-approved prescription-strength combination of acetaminophen and ibuprofen indicated for adults 18 and older for short-term management of mild-to-moderate acute pain. The U.S. launch expands the product’s availability to 67 countries.

The single-tablet treatment combines two widely used analgesics, providing health care professionals with another non-opioid option for appropriate patients and eliminating the need for patients to coordinate separate acetaminophen and ibuprofen products and dosing schedules.

Combogesic uses AFT Pharmaceuticals’ Qiksolv formulation technology to combine prescription-strength acetaminophen and ibuprofen in a single tablet. According to the company, clinical studies have demonstrated the treatment’s effectiveness in managing mild-to-moderate acute pain in the short term.
