CRN partners with ACI for third annual EPR Think Tank

CRN is a promotional partner for the two-day conference examining EPR implementation, compliance and packaging changes.

NEW YORK — The American Conference Institute will host its third annual EPR Think Tank on Jan. 26 and 27, 2027, convening regulators, producers and packaging industry stakeholders to examine the expanding extended producer responsibility landscape in the United States.

The Council for Responsible Nutrition is serving as a promotional partner for the event, which will be held at Well& by Durst in New York.

The two-day conference will focus on how producers can manage varying state requirements, build packaging data systems, forecast fees, prepare for enforcement, and adapt packaging as EPR programs expand nationwide.

Sessions will examine implementation in California, Oregon, Colorado, Maine, Minnesota, Maryland, and Washington, as well as proposals under consideration in New York, New Jersey, Tennessee, and other states. A regulator roundtable will provide updates on implementation and compliance requirements.

The agenda will also cover eco-modulation and fee forecasting, recyclability claims, litigation and regulatory uncertainty, and lessons learned from established EPR programs for electronics, batteries, and mattresses.

Two afternoon tracks will allow attendees to focus on specific areas. The Compliance, Data and Finance track will cover reporting systems, covered materials, exemptions and fee forecasting. The Packaging and Circularity track will examine source reduction, recycling infrastructure and packaging innovation.

Other sessions will address producers' experiences implementing EPR requirements and the growing role of producer responsibility organizations (PROs) in state programs.

CRN members are eligible for a 10% registration discount.
