WOONSOCKET, R.I. – On November 2, 2022, CVS Health announced a global opioid settlement that was conditioned on its satisfaction with the level of participation by states and local subdivisions.
Today, CVS Health confirmed it has received sufficient participation from states and local subdivisions to proceed with the previously announced settlement agreement. This settlement will resolve opioid-related claims and litigation by states, territories and political subdivisions such as counties and cities in the United States, and it will become effective on June 23, 2023.
