WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS Health has received two Gold and one Silver Stevie Award for Great Employers for its AI Learning Academy, recognizing the company’s efforts to build AI skills and confidence across its workforce.
The company earned Gold awards in the Employee Upskill/Reskill Training and AI Workforce Innovation Team of the Year categories, along with a Silver in AI in Learning and Skills Development Achievement.
Launched in February, the AI Learning Academy uses a phased training model tailored to different employee roles to help colleagues develop practical AI skills. According to CVS Health, the program has recorded more than 18,500 live-session attendances and delivered up to a 72% improvement in participants’ confidence in using AI.
Thirty days after training, up to 90% of participants reported sustained productivity gains of 45 to 60 minutes per week. CVS Health said adoption of its enterprise AI tools has also continued to rise.
“Technology alone doesn’t transform an organization, people do,” said Sherif Kamel, SVP, chief digital and technology officer, CVS Health. “This program puts our colleagues at the center, meeting them where they are with the skills, confidence and context they need to make AI work for the business.”
The Academy was developed through a cross-functional effort involving business leaders, learning and development teams, technology experts, and AI platform and adoption analytics teams. Responsible AI training is integrated directly into the curriculum.
“AI won’t define the future of work, people who know how to leverage AI will,” said Greg Karanastasis, SVP, talent and development, CVS Health. “Our AI Academy is one of those enablers.”
The Great Employers awards mark CVS Health’s second Stevie recognition in 2026. In April, the company received Gold at the American Business Awards for Enterprise AI in predictive modeling, clinical authorization, and claims orchestration, as well as Silver for Customer Experience AI for its Agentic Twins initiative.
