WOONSOCKET, R.I. — Siddharth “Sid” Tenneti has been named president of Pharmacy and Consumer Wellness at CVS Health after holding the role on an interim basis.
Tenneti announced the move Wednesday, marking a new chapter in a 17-year career with CVS Health. He has held several leadership roles, including leading the pharmacy growth team, advancing CVS Pharmacy’s omnichannel strategy as well as serving as interim president. His deep experience across the business positions him well to build on CVS Pharmacy’s momentum and lead the organization into its next chapter of growth.
“I’m grateful and excited to begin a new chapter as President of Pharmacy and Consumer Wellness at CVS Health,” Tenneti said.
As the divisional head, he oversees the front store and retail pharmacy business across the company’s more than 9,000 CVS Pharmacy locations, continuing CVS' commitment to delivering exceptional experiences for the communities and patients it serves.
He said his years with the company have given him a firsthand view of CVS Health colleagues’ expertise and dedication, and he expressed confidence in the business's opportunities ahead.
“I truly believe we have the best team in the business, and I’m incredibly proud of the role CVS Health plays in supporting people and communities across the country,” he said. “Together, we have an enormous opportunity to build on that impact and shape what comes next.”
Tennneti joined CVS in 2009 and has held positions of increasing responsibility, most recently as senior vice president of retail pharmacy. He has also held leadership positions throughout the business, including in Process Innovation, Workforce Management and Pharmacy Personalization and Growth.
Before joining CVS, he worked in strategy consulting, advising organizations across several verticals.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Texas at Austin, and a master’s degree in business administration from Babson College.
Looking ahead, Tenneti said the company will continue working to simplify health care “one person, one family and one community at a time.”
