LOS ANGELES — De Soi is expanding its nonalcoholic beverage portfolio with Social Spritz, a new line of functional seltzers designed to provide a caffeine-free energy boost for daytime occasions.
The Los Angeles-based brand, co-founded by Katy Perry, said Social Spritz is now available at Total Wine locations nationwide and at select Whole Foods Market stores, as well as on De Soi’s website and on Amazon.
The line launches in three flavors: Lemon Elderflower, Blackberry Hibiscus and Peach Ginger. Each 25-calorie can contains less than 5 grams of sugar and is gluten-free and vegan, with no artificial flavors or sweeteners.
Social Spritz is formulated with a blend of ginseng, L-theanine, L-tyrosine and vitamins B6 and B12. De Soi positions the product as an alternative to traditional energy drinks for consumers seeking functional benefits without caffeine or other stimulants.
“I love the evening wind-down I was able to create with De Soi, but when I was looking for a daytime pick-me-up, I didn’t like the trade-offs that existed for a little energy. Social Spritz met the moment — a light, sparkling, functional seltzer that gives you just enough of a push to keep the day going without jitters or sugar crashes. It leaves me feeling lightly lifted,” said Katy Perry, co-founder of De Soi.
The launch gives De Soi an entry into the growing functional beverage segment while broadening the occasions served by its portfolio. The company’s original nonalcoholic sparkling cocktails, which contain ingredients including lion’s mane, reishi and L-theanine, are positioned primarily for evening and social occasions.
“Social Spritz was built for the hours between — the mid-afternoon reset, the creative session, the Sunday that wants to last a little longer,” said Morgan McLachlan, co-founder and master distiller of De Soi.
De Soi said additional retail partners for Social Spritz are expected to be announced in the coming months.
