Dexcom G7 15 Day Continuous Glucose Monitoring System to launch on Dec. 1

Dexcom G7 15 Day will first be available through durable medical equipment (DME) providers with full retail launch in the coming weeks.

SAN DIEGO — Dexcom has announced the upcoming launch of the Dexcom G7 15-Day Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System for adults aged 18 and older with diabetes. The system will be available in the United States starting December 1. Initially, the Dexcom G7 15-Day will be offered to users who receive their CGM through Durable Medical Equipment (DME) providers. It will also be covered for Medicare beneficiaries, meeting the therapeutic CGM category requirements established by the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. For individuals aged 2 to 18, the Dexcom G7 continues to be the most accurate continuous glucose monitoring system available.

With an overall MARD of 8.0%, Dexcom G7 15 Day builds on the performance of Dexcom CGM, which is clinically proven to lower A1C, reduce hyper- and hypoglycemia, and increase time in range. Available first through DME, the upcoming launch of Dexcom G7 15 Day is a significant advancement in glucose management for people with diabetes, especially those with Medicare coverage.
