The nation’s largest independent specialty pharmacy said the business units — American Homecare Federation, At-Home IV Infusion Professional, BioRx, MedPro Rx and XAS Infusion Suites — will continue to focus on their key areas of excellence.
These include high-touch services for patients with hemophilia and other bleeding disorders; specialized programs for patients with hereditary angioedema (HAE); home infusion services for patients with alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency; home delivery and administration of immune globulin therapies, including patient and physician support programs; and parenteral and enteral nutrition, including customized treatments and infusion support.
“This brand opens a new door for us,” Diplomat vice president Phil Rielly, who will serve as president of Diplomat Specialty Infusion Group, said in a statement. “Our patients are our driving force. They are our motivation to continue pushing for better therapies and educating on the industry. We are determined to keep working and advocating under the new brand on their behalf, to be the voice our patients don’t always have.”
Diplomat serves patients and physicians in all 50 states. The specialty pharmacy focuses on medication management programs for people with complex chronic diseases, including oncology, immunology, hepatitis, multiple sclerosis, specialized infusion therapy and other serious or long-term conditions.
“As we continue to build on the work we have done, we are excited to move forward with the launch of our new Diplomat Specialty Infusion Group brand,” stated Diplomat chairman and chief executive officer Phil Hagerman. “Together, our combined resources allow us to continue to build upon our expertise and services for patients with specialized needs.”
