Dollar General celebrates Fulton location’s 25th anniversary

Dollar General celebrated the 25th anniversary of its Fulton, Missouri distribution center this week.

FULTON, Mo. — Dollar General celebrated the 25th anniversary of its Fulton, Missouri distribution center this week. In company of senior leadership including CEO Todd Vasos, executive vice president of global supply chain, Rod West, and executive vice president and chief people officer, Kathy Reardon, all employees enjoyed a complimentary lunch as well as the honoring of 12 legacy employees.

Established in 1999, Dollar General currently employs approximately 700 individuals through its distribution center and Private Fleet presence.

Anniversary celebrations included recognizing 12 “Founder’s Club” employees who have been employed at the Fulton distribution center since 1999.

“We are grateful to celebrate Fulton’s 25th anniversary and recognize this team’s exceptional contributions to our customers and communities,” said Rod West, Dollar General’s executive vice president of global supply chain. “Since 1999, our Fulton team has made a meaningful impact to our customers and communities through their critical role to ensure products are delivered to DG stores.  We appreciate the entire Fulton team for their continued support of our mission of Serving Others and look forward to extending our presence as a good corporate neighbor and longtime member of the community.”

Through Dollar General’s mission of Serving Others, it is deeply involved in the communities it serves and seeks to advance and support adult, family, summer and youth literacy programs through the Dollar General Literacy Foundation , which awards financial recourse to nonprofit organizations, schools and libraries within a 15-mile radius of a Dollar General distribution center each year.
