HYDERABAD, India — Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories has announced the U.S. rollout of over-the-counter fexofenadine hydrochloride and pseudoephedrine hydrochloride extended-release tablets 60 mg/120 mg, a cold/allergy medication.

Dr. Reddy’s said Thursday that its product, available in a 20-count blister package, is a bioequivalent generic version of Allegra-D 12-Hour Allergy & Congestion ER tablets from Chattem Inc.

Fexofenadine hydrochloride and pseudoephedrine hydrochloride tablets are used to treat allergy and cold symptoms such as nasal congestion, sneezing, runny nose, itchy or watery eyes, hives, skin rash and itching.

Allegra-D 12-Hour had U.S. sales of approximately $49.8 million for the 52 weeks ended Oct. 6, 2014, for total U.S. multi-outlet channel, according to IRI data reported by Dr. Reddy’s.
