SOLON, Ohio — Efficient Collaborative Retail Marketing (ECRM) has launched the Prestige Cosmetics & Beauty Care Efficient Program Planning Session (EPPS).

Beauty care customer

ECRM said late Monday that the new EPPS focuses on prestige, masstige and indie cosmetics, fragrance and beauty brands and was developed to connect suppliers in these categories with buyers at department, specialty and alternate channel retailers looking to sell these high-end and unique products.

Prestige and masstige products are generally defined as high-end brands retailing for more than $25. ECRM noted that the Prestige Cosmetics & Beauty Care EPPS reflects the rising popularity of prestige, masstige and indie beauty brands among consumers and the demand for them from retailers and spas and their suppliers.

“The indie brands are those among the fastest-growing product categories in HBC and are influencing some of the big-box retailers and suppliers in their direction,” stated Lisa Carrillo, senior vice president of beauty care at ECRM. “Many are artisanally made and tend to be aligned with the natural and organic movement.”

The Prestige Cosmetics & Beauty Care EPPS is scheduled for June 6 to 8, 2017, at the Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa and will be co-located and run in tandem with ECRM’s Skin, Bath & Cosmetics EPPS.

ECRM said the Prestige Cosmetics & Beauty Care EPPS is targeted at suppliers of prestige, masstige and indie cosmetics, fragrances, skin care, bath care and other beauty care items and at buyers from apparel, specialty and department chains, as well as salon distributors that sell high-end beauty care items. More information on the event is available at ECRM.MarketGate.com/Events.

Based in Solon, Ohio, ECRM facilitates category-specific buying and selling between consumer packaged goods retailers and manufacturers via its EPPS events and proprietary software that streamlines interactions between trading partners. ECRM serves manufacturers and retailers within a range of product categories, including health and beauty care, general merchandise, food and beverages, pharmaceuticals and electronics, among others.
