ST. LOUIS — Edgewell Personal Care said it has achieved a first in women’s shaving with the launch of the Schick Intuition f.a.b. bidirectional razor.

Announced Tuesday, the Schick Intuition f.a.b. sports cartridges with bidirectional blades, enabling women to shave forwards and backwards — hence the “f.a.b.” in the product’s name — without lifting the razor from their skin.

The top blades of the razor shave up, and the bottom blades shave down. And built into the razor’s head is an advanced moisture gel applicator to help provide a smooth glide when shaving, according to Edgewell. The company recommends using the Intuition f.a.b. with its Skintimate Shave Gel for an optimal shave.

Schick Intuition f.a.b. refill cartridges fit both Intuition f.a.b. handles and most Gillette Venus razor handles, Edgewell added.

Now availabe at mass, drug and grocery stores nationwide, the Schick Intuition f.a.b. carries a suggested retail price of $13.99 for one razor and two refill cartridges.
