Empowered Products gets boost from chain drug distribution

Empowered Products Inc., which offers the PINK and Gun-Oil sexual wellness brands, said sales have escalated since its products shipped to leading chain drug retailers earlier this year.

LAS VEGAS — Empowered Products Inc., which offers the PINK and Gun-Oil sexual wellness brands, said sales have escalated since its products shipped to leading chain drug retailers earlier this year.

"Since shipping our first major retail chain order in February 2012, we have been expanding our pursuit of increasing shelf space in the over 21,000 retail outlets of the big three U.S. drug store chains," stated Scott Fraser, Empowered Products’ president and chief executive officer.

"As part of our growth strategy, we believe our ongoing presence in retailer venues such as the NACDS [National Association of Chain Drug Stores] will continue to be a contributor to enhancing shareholder value going forward," he added.

Empowered Products noted that it’s ramping up its marketing efforts to snare shelf space, and hoist sales with the large chains as consumer trends in the sexual wellness products category continue to move toward mainstream U.S. retailers. The company’s lineup of 17 products includes a range of personal lubricants and sexual performance enhancers under the Gun-Oil brand for men and the PINK banner for women.

As part of its marketing push, Empowered Products presented at the NACDS Marketplace Conference in Denver this week. The company noted that the event provided access to key decision-makers from over 230 retail companies, including Walmart, Rexall, and Duane Reade.

Empowered Products’ offerings are available at more than 3,000 retail locations in over 30 countries.
