First Quality and Cradles to Crayons celebrate 5 years of partnership

Over 37 million baby diapers and 17 million baby wipes distributed since 2021.

GREAT NECK, New York – First Quality, the maker of Cuties diapers, is celebrating five years of partnership with Cradles to Crayons, a national nonprofit focused on helping children access the clothing and other essentials, such as diapers, that they need. Since 2021, First Quality has donated a portion of each Cuties diaper case sold to Cradles to Crayons—more than $4 million so far. Over the past five years, support from First Quality has enabled Cradles to Crayons to provide more than 37 million diapers and 17 million baby wipes to families across the U.S.

While National Diaper Need Awareness Week is September 14 - 18, consistent access to diapers is a daily challenge for many parents and caregivers. In fact, nearly one in two U.S. families* struggle to access enough diapers for their children. Cradles to Crayons works to alleviate this pressure by providing free diapers through service partners such as schools, daycares and community organizations in Philadelphia, Boston and Chicago.

"The foundation of our partnership with Cradles to Crayons is the shared belief that everyone deserves access to high-quality, essential products to care for themselves and their families," said Sima Delafraz, chief commercial officer at First Quality.

A recent analysis of an ongoing diaper distribution pilot in Boston demonstrates the economic and health benefits for families when they have adequate access to diapers. The pilot includes participation from Cradles to Crayons and distribution of free Cuties diapers.

“Without diapers, parents may not be able to enroll their children in daycare, which can impact employment and financial stability. Meanwhile, trying to make a limited supply of diapers stretch over several days can lead to severe diaper rash and health issues,” said Christine Morin, chief executive officer of Cradles to Crayons. “The ongoing support provided by First Quality, along with their volunteer and advocacy efforts, helps us meet urgent needs in our communities.”
