RIDGEFIELD PARK, N.J. — Richard Kornhauser has stepped down as president and chief executive officer of CCA Industries Inc.
CCA Industries said late Thursday that Kornhauser’s resignation was effective Jan. 15. He also has resigned from the board, where he was a director.

CCA chairman Lance Funston has taken the reins as CEO in addition to his current duties for the board, the company said.
“After two years of retooling, rebuilding and recapitalizing the company’s infrastructure, CCA’s platform is far stronger and healthier today than it has been in years,” Kornhauser said in a statement. I’m proud of what we have accomplished as a team.”
Kornhauser was appointed as a director in September 2014 and served as president and CEO of CCA since October 2013. The company had operated without a full-time chief executive for eight months following the death of Dunnan Edell, its previous president and CEO, earlier that year. David Edell, Dunnan’s father and CCA’s founder and former CEO, came out of retirement to serve as CEO while CCA searched for a full-time chief officer.
“One year ago, I asked Rick to accomplish three goals: transition from component manufacturing to turnkey manufacturing, for which we have made considerable progress; make significant reductions in administrative overhead costs; and complete the transition to Emerson Healthcare, a third-party back office accounting and sales team. His mission has been accomplished,” Funston stated. “The board of directors joins me in thanking Rick for his valuable contributions.”
Funston is the founder and current chairman and CEO of Ultimark Products LLC, whose health and beauty aids (HBA) brands include Prell, Denorex, Zincon and Porcelana.
CCA’s roster of HBA offerings includes Plus+White toothpastes and teeth whiteners, Bikini Zone medicated topical and shave gels, Nutra Nail nail care, Scar Zone scar treatments, Sudden Change anti-aging skin care and Solar Sense sun protection products.
