SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — O’Connor Companies LLC has expanded retail distribution for GoGargle!, an effervescent salt gargle designed to provide a more refreshing option to relieve dry, irritated throats.

The company said Wednesday that GoGargle! is now available nationwide at CVS/pharmacy as well as at other chain store retailers, including Albertsons, Winn-Dixie, Basha’s, Hy-Vee, Wegmans, Shopko, Weis Markets, Harris Teeter and Meijer.

The product also is sold at Walgreens, Tops Friendly Markets, ShopRite, Giant Eagle, Associated Food Stores, Hartig Drug, Discount Drug Mart, Stop & Shop, Giant, Ingles Markets, Bi-Lo, Marc’s and Price Rite locations.

According to the company, GoGargle! effervescent tablets bring a better-tasting, more convenient alternative to traditional gargling with salt water by adding soothing ingredients like honey, aloe, chamomile and mint, along with zinc, vitamins C and E, and herbs.

Users dissolve one GoGargle! tablet in four to six ounces of warm water and then gargle in small sips for 20 to 30 seconds until the liquid is gone. The effervescent bubbles help GoGargle! dissolve quickly, so users can get to gargling and feel the soothing relief. The bacteria-fighting salt cleanses and helps reduce inflammation, while the other ingredients soothe and create a clean, refreshing sensation. The product’s 10-tablet plastic container also is convenient for travel.

The company noted that more than 15 million people with sore throats will visit doctors during the cough, cold and flu season.

"GoGargle! uses salt water, which has been touted by moms and grandmas for generations, to flush and cleanse the back of your throat and help reduce inflammation," stated Arizona nurse January O’Connor, who created GoGargle! with her husband and business innovator Tim O’Connor. "But unlike mom’s home remedy, GoGargle! actually tastes as good as it works."

GoGargle! was named Best New Product at the 2014 ECRM Cough-Cold, Analgesics and Allergy Convention.
