CHICAGO and DEERFIELD, Ill. – Grubhub has teamed up with Walgreens to expand its marketplace, offering on-demand delivery from Walgreens and Duane Reade locations nationwide. Customers can now access 15,000 items through Grubhub, including beauty, health and wellness, snacks, personal care, household essentials, and more.
With this partnership, Grubhub continues to enhance its convenience offerings. According to the company, customers who order from convenience merchants on Grubhub shop nearly three times more per month than those who don’t, highlighting the demand for everyday essentials through delivery.
"We're excited to add Walgreens and Duane Reade to offer customers a robust selection of convenience retailers on Grubhub," said Craig Whitmer, Grubhub’s vice president of new verticals. "As a Chicago-based company, working with another hometown favorite is particularly special. This partnership helps us scale our convenience offerings nationwide, with a focus on key markets like Chicago and New York City."
Sharmila Sudhakar, Walgreens’ group vice president of digital commerce and omni experience, emphasized the importance of meeting customer expectations for fast and reliable service.

Walgreens and Duane Reade locations are now part of Grubhub+, the company’s loyalty program, which offers benefits like $0 delivery fees, reduced service fees, and exclusive discounts on eligible orders. Walgreens is joining a growing list of convenience retailers partnering with Grubhub to provide seamless, same-day delivery solutions.
