KANSAS CITY — In 2024, Hallmark will continue to build on the popularity of Hallmark + Venmo Cards. These new cards offer a unique and convenient way of gifting to friends and family. “With this recently launched, first-of-its kind collaboration, customers can now securely send money with Venmo in a physical Hallmark card. By bringing together Hallmark’s legacy of caring and Venmo’s social, secure and simple payments, the two brands are transforming the gift-giving experience,” said Amy McAnarney, vice president and general manager of Strategic Accounts at Hallmark.
“Our new collaboration with Venmo represents an innovative new way to let someone know you’re thinking of them with simple, secure and seamless cash gifting,” she added. “Gifting trends are constantly evolving, and we want to stay at the forefront of what consumers need to share thoughtful and unique gifts with the ones they love.”
Gift givers can let the recipient choose exactly what they want with a Hallmark + Venmo Card, making it an easy way to send the perfect gift every time. Special moments are turned into rewarding celebrations by sharing a heartfelt message, and a little money, too.
“Celebrating moments big and small is at the heart of what they do at Hallmark,” said McAnarney. “And making the most of birthdays, holidays and everyday celebrations will be easier than ever with the launch of Hallmark’s new party essentials and decor collection, Hallmark Celebrate! Comprised of eye-catching mix-and-match designs, this diverse assortment of party essentials makes event planning and hosting in style effortless, elevating any moment into a special occasion,” she added.
“Hallmark Celebrate! is made from quality materials fit for any party, each of the bright and decorative themes feature various plates, napkins and themed decor, including banners, candles and streamers that allow for coordination and customization. The ease and convenience of these polished items elevate any moment to a toast-worthy special occasion in minutes,” she concluded.
In other company news, Hallmark announced last month that Smith Holland, president of Hallmark Global, will retire this quarter following 30 years of dedicated service to the company. “I have an immense amount of admiration and appreciation for Smith and all he’s contributed to our businesses and brands,” said Hallmark president and chief executive officer Mike Perry. “Throughout his career, Smith has proven himself to be a strategic, yet operationally minded leader and a relentless change agent — all qualities that have served Hallmark and Crayola well.”
During his three-decades-long career, Holland has held various leadership roles at Hallmark, including vice president of corporate finance, and finance vice president of Hallmark Retail. In 2006, he assumed leadership of Hallmark’s Canada-based business operations and drove a business renewal effort that significantly improved Hallmark’s brand positioning in the Canadian market.
“I am truly grateful for the opportunity to serve as a leader for so many facets of our iconic brands,” said Holland. “As I take this next step in my life, I do so with a lot of optimism about the future potential of Hallmark and a deep faith in the people and leaders in the business.”
