HDA Research Foundation announces inaugural scholarship winners

The HDA Research Foundation Thursday announced the selection of four HDA-member professionals as the inaugural recipients of its graduate-level scholarship program.

ARLINGTON, Va. — The HDA Research Foundation Thursday announced the selection of four HDA-member professionals as the inaugural recipients of its graduate-level scholarship program.

The scholarship, developed as part of the organization’s mission to foster industry knowledge and established in conjunction with HDA’s Convene program, is available annually to graduate-level students working within HDA-member distributor and manufacturer companies.

“We are honored to recognize these four talented and promising supply chain professionals, who exemplify leadership and innovation, as well as a desire to promote the greater good of their organization,” said Perry Fri, executive vice president and chief operating officer of the HDA Research Foundation. “With the goal of fostering supply chain knowledge and leadership through educational and professional development opportunities, the Foundation will continue to support the industry with initiatives such as this scholarship program to aid the industry with its endeavors to further the safety, security and efficiency of the supply chain.”

The four recipients of the 2018 HDA Research Foundation Scholarship are:

Doctorate in Business Administration | Temple University

Through an essay and supporting materials, including a letter of recommendation or other support from their supervisor, the scholarship recipients demonstrated how the funds would benefit the applicant’s growth within his or her organization and contribute to the efficiency of the supply chain and the patients it serves. Further, recipients were required to possess at least two years of working experience within an active HDA distributor or manufacturer member company to qualify.

The HDA Research Foundation Scholarship Program is sponsored by Teva Pharmaceuticals. The next application period will open on May 1, 2019. For additional information and eligibility requirements, visit www.hda.org/scholarship.
