ARLINGTON, Va. — The HDA Research Foundation is seeking to support the next generation of supply chain leaders through a new scholarship program. Created in conjunction with HDA’s professional development program, Convene, the HDA Research Foundation Scholarship is available biannually to graduate-level students currently working within HDA-member distributor and manufacturer companies.

“The formation of a graduate-level scholarship builds on our expanded focus on fulfilling the educational mission of the Foundation,” said Perry Fri, chief operating officer of the HDA Research Foundation. “Supporting the academic advancement of HDA-member professionals will not only enhance their future growth, but also the efficiency and effectiveness of the pharmaceutical supply chain.”

The Foundation is seeking applicants who demonstrate leadership, innovation, commitment to the industry and a desire to promote the greater good of their organization. Applicants must have at least two years of working experience for an active HDA distributor or manufacturer member company. All submissions will require a 500-word essay outlining the applicant’s current position, area of responsibility within the company, desired graduate program, upcoming courses and how the scholarship will benefit the applicant’s growth within his or her organization. In addition, candidates are required to supply a letter of recommendation or intent of support from their supervisor and an updated CV or resume. The program will offer up to four $2,500 scholarships each calendar year to individual winners.
