HERSHEY, Pa. — Hershey Co. is readying more new products and promotions after having already launched a spate of new items this year.

Seven products have made their debut in 2012, and another — Hershey’s Simple Pleasures Chocolate — is shipping this month.

The products that have already debuted include Jolly Rancher Crunch ’n Chew, Hershey’s Milk Chocolate With Almonds Pieces, Hershey’s Bliss Dark Chocolate With Caramel, Rolo Minis, Ice Breakers Duo Mints, York Dark Chocolate & Peppermint Sundae Syrup, and Brookside Dark Chocolate Covered Real Fruit Juice Pieces.

Available in June, Hershey’s Simple Pleasures Chocolates have a smooth outside and a rich, creamy center, providing a “decadent” flavor with 30% less fat than the average leading milk chocolates. Hershey’s Simple Pleasures Chocolates come in three varieties: milk chocolate with chocolate creme, milk chocolate with vanilla creme, and dark chocolate with chocolate creme. The 5.6-ounce bags have a suggested retail price of $3.79.

On the promotional front, the “Hershey’s Saves the Day With The Avengers” initiative allows consumers to visit hersheys.com/avengers for a chance to win prizes, enjoy an interactive online experience and view exclusive video content from the movie through Sept. 30. Prizes include DVDs, T-shirts, posters and movie tickets. Chocolate lovers can enter online with codes found on specially marked packages of Hershey’s products — including 12-ounce bags of Hershey’s Kisses, Reese’s miniatures, York Peppermint Patties and Hershey’s Miniatures, as well as standard-size Hershey’s Milk Chocolate bars, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Kit Kat bars and 24-ounce bottles of Hershey’s Syrup.

Summer and fall promotions include an offer to help consumers easily find s’mores ingredients, including Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bars and Kraft Foods Inc.’s Honey Maid Grahams and Jet-Puffed Marshmallows. Consumers can also enroll in “Camp Bondfire” on the brand’s Facebook page to receive s’mores fireside activities and memory-making ideas.

The company is celebrating the July 3 release of “The Amazing Spider-Man” by challenging fans to build a virtual web of Twizzlers Twists to unlock prizes and exclusive content. Through July 7, fans can visit facebook.com/twizzlers once daily to add a Twizzlers Twist to the Amazing Spider-Man’s web in three scenes chronologically depicting The Amazing Spider-Man story. Participants have a chance to win prizes, including a trip to the next Spider-Man movie set, a Sony Blu-Ray Disc home theater system, Spider-Man T-shirts and one-month digital subscriptions to Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited.

This fall consumers will find deals on Hershey’s Baking Pieces and Kisses, as well as such recipes as peanut butter blossom cookies. Seasonal recipe offers are available at hersheykitchens.com, and tips can be found on the brand’s YouTube how-to videos at youtube.com/user/HersheysKitchens.
