Hershey’s Cookie Layer Crunch line has topped $100 million in sales in less than a year after its launch.

HERSHEY, Pa. — Hershey Co. has added a fourth flavor to its year-old Cookie Layer Crunch snack line.

Launched this week, Hershey’s Cookie Layer Crunch Triple Chocolate bar is made with chocolate creme, chocolate cookie bits and milk chocolate to deliver an indulgent, layered taste, Hershey said.

Cookie Layer Crunch launched in December 2016 with three flavors: caramel, vanilla creme and mint.

Hershey noted that the Triple Layer Chocolate variety builds on the momentum of the Cookie Layer Crunch rollout, the company’s biggest launch in 10 years. As of Nov. 5, retail sales of Cookie Layer Crunch reached $100 million.

According to an Innova Market Insights study, a top food trend for 2018 is that consumers want new flavors, textures and portion sizes but without sacrificing quality or taste.

XL size for $2.89 (select flavors); a three-piece, 2.1-oz. king size for $1.69 (select flavors); and a two-piece, 1.4-oz. standard size for 99 cents (select flavors).
