JERUSALEM — IDenta Corp. has renewed distribution of its Touch&Know drug detection kits at Walgreens stores nationwide.

The Israel-based company said Thursday that the over-the-counter drug testing kit will continue to be sold exclusively at Walgreens through August 2014.

IDenta noted that Touch&Know provides safety, accuracy, affordability and ease of use to the consumer. The kit’s technology is based on proven field tests used extensively by law enforcement worldwide, the company said.

Touch&Know contains two detectors: one for general screening and one for marijuana/hashish. The unit is able to detect 22 kinds of illegal drugs and provides immediate display of results without a lab involvement, ensuring a 99% accuracy rate in an environmentally friendly and nonconfrontational approach requiring no bodily fluids, according to IDenta.

The company said Touch&Know can assist with the resolution of drug-related issues in the home, schools and businesses.

"Touch&Know is the first nonbiological drug testing kit offered by a U.S. retailer," stated Yaacov Shoham, chief executive officer of IDenta. "Touch&Know safely tests the substance — as opposed to the person — and provides immediate results. It is a fully noninvasive method. We are proud to have partnered with the drug store chain, the largest retail pharmacy chain in America, to make this product available to all consumers."
