ATLANTA — In a blast from the past, Coca-Cola Co. has brought back tropical-flavor Sprite with a new name and look.

The beverage giant said Thursday that Sprite Tropical Mix combines the crisp Sprite lemon-lime taste with strawberry and pineapple flavors. The new flavor combination is available now for a limited time in a retro-inspired orange-on-white package design.
Sprite Tropical Mix will be available through August or while supplies last. The soft drink comes in 20-ounce PET bottles and is sold at convenience, value and other retail stores nationwide.
The limited-edition release will be supported through an integrated marketing campaign, including radio and out-of-home advertising and content on Sprite social channels, Coca-Cola said.
“Fans have thirsted for the return of this popular Sprite tropical flavor for years, and it’s great to finally bring it back to reward their enthusiasm,” stated Kimberly Paige, vice president of sparkling brands, Sprite and flavors at Coca-Cola North America. “The blend of lemon-lime, strawberry and pineapple flavors gives the delicious taste of Sprite a fresh twist for summer, and for fans unfamiliar with the tropical mix it’s a refreshing way to quench their thirst for something new.”
Coca-Cola noted that Sprite Tropical Mix joins a number of other product variations that Sprite has introduced in recent years. Other popular limited-edition Sprite flavors include the holiday favorite Sprite Cranberry, first introduced in 2013, and Sprite LeBron’s Mix, which was available in 2014 and 2015.
